The project’s primary purpose is to replace a deficient bridge with a new Mississippi River Bridge connecting Missouri and Illinois. One Design-Build team will be selected to design and construct the project. MoDOT will use a Best Value selection process to evaluate the ability of the

-Meet or beat the project open to traffic date of November 1, 2019.
-Deliver a project on budget that supports everyday commuters and freight.
-Construct a safe, reliable, low maintenance Mississippi River Bridge that will provide at least a century of service.
-Minimize and mitigate construction impacts and maximize work zone safety to customers and workers.
-Deliver the project using a diverse workforce by use of innovative techniques.
-Demonstrate a commitment to quality.

An informational meeting is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2017, at MoDOT’s Hannibal District Office, 1711 South Highway 61, Hannibal, MO 63401.
It is anticipated the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be released this same day.
